I took up training as an adult to help manage my own anger problems and develop better self-confidence and self-control. It also helped me with my co-ordination problems due to being dyslexic. I have been a trained counsellor for over 15 years and have worked with all kinds of people in all kinds of situations. In my 20’s I got into martial arts and this led to me becoming interested in meditation and mindfulness.
My experience and qualifications in psychology / sports psychology, counselling and hypnotherapy along with my Fitness experience and qualification allow me to deliver a unique form of counselling and fitness. This kind of programme helps clients to deal with negative behavioural patterns, thoughts and beliefs which are restricting them from achieving their goals or good quality of life.
My training has helped me confront and brake down many stereotypes placed on me as a female and gay women. I do not accept the limitations placed on me around my life, sexuality, gender or physiology by society and I bring this philosophy into my teaching.
