Rainbow Romantic Tours – Crowdfunding project 4 LGBTQ+ Project

Aimis – Aimis to offer luxury leisure canal tours and romantic breaks along the Regents canal. Creating a LGBTQ+ friendly and women led business

Business –

Herstory; – I am a gay women who runs a successful personal training business called fighting fit studio in and around Hackney and Bow.

I grew up in Hackney on the Holly Street estate where I witnessed and experienced poverty, abuse, racism and homophobia. I worked within social services and youth work for many years, which I loved. I eventually was able to move into fitness and then grew a personal training business from nothing.

I have seen the investment in both Hackney Wick and Stratford especially around Regents canal which have created a much improved and a lot more friendly area for people to tour and visit. The building of the Olympic stadium the increase of bars and restaurants have seen Regents canal boom both as tourist destination and a place where locals hang out. It has seen an increase in Gay bars and clubs and a significant increase of LGBTQ+ community. These areas have also been an area for creatives and artists for a long time.

Victoria park and London fields, will also offer lovely places to hang out or explore. These prime location offers me the opportunity to let people who may not have got to experience the waterways on a boat the ability to do so without having to operate the boat themselves. They can sit back and relax while enjoying a drink and some canopies as you take in the beautiful nature and waterways of the area.

Experience; As a gay woman I have experienced of how uncomfortable it can feel in curtain situations or areas while showing affection towards your partner. My My business is set up to allow people of all genders, sexualities and beliefs to feel comfortable to enjoy their trip without feeling uncomfortable or judged.

I have spent a few years working towards developing this business, I have previous experience of owning a boat and putting on functions for friends and family in Bradford-On-Avon while I was living their. I saw how rewarding and relaxing it was for them and it offered a brilliant way of getting in touch with nature.

Business; In order to get started on my business I am crowdfunding in order to raise money towards purchasing a River Cruiser, which will enable me to move forward on this project / business.

Business – I wish to run a LGBTQ+ and woman friendly business that offers romantic overnight stays and short trips along the Regents canal.
Day trip will offer a selection of routes of the day. Trip will include some canopies and drinks.

Overnight stays will also offer a variety of stays that will offer different experiences.

For this I wish to purchase a River Cruiser 2/4 birth and fit it out in order to offer the comfortable and pleasurable trips for my clients.

I believe I can purchase a suitable boat for £7000, which I can improve to suit my clients needs. All other expenses I plan to cover myself, but the initial lay out for the boat I will need some assistance with.

So if you are interested in supporting me please go to my funding page which I have included an image below.

I want to thank all those helping me in advance and I am offering a reward for all who invest.

Thank you again
